We know how important it is, at times, for men to be able to meet together as men. Our meetings are always informal and everyone is welcome. Usually around food, drink or some activity, we want to have opportunities for us to get to know each other better, when we can feel free to discuss anything on our minds - whatever our beliefs may be.

We run a varied programme of events throughout the year: some purely social, some aiming to introduce the Christian faith to people who are interested, and some aiming to encourage men forward in their faith.

Social events

As well as our regular attenders, we’re particularly keen to welcome guests along to these. The Curry Club meets every 4th Sunday evening at 8pm in the ‘Spice of India’. Other events have included beer and whisky tasting, kayaking, and a brewery tour.

Guest speaker events

A couple of times a year, over breakfast or a curry, we invite a guest speaker to share something about how their faith has impacted on their lives.

These talks are always relevant, stimulating and challenging, but delivered with sensitivity and humour. As well as inspiring people in their faith, these are ideal for anyone who might be interested in discovering what makes Christians tick and in hearing about the the very real changes that Jesus can make in an individuals’s life and in that of his family.

Fellowship Breakfasts

About half a dozen times a year, we meet for breakfast in the Parish Rooms from 8.30-10am for a Full English Breakfast, a time of fellowship and support. As well as aiming to serve the needs of men who already feel part of the church family, these breakfasts are also, of course, open to guests too.
