Jonathan joined The Branch as COO in October 2023 from Ridge Clean Energy, a local renewable energy developer. Previously he has also worked in parliament and the charity sector.
Jonathan served as Policy advisor to Sir Nicholas Soames MP and then as Chief of Staff to Paul Howell MP where he worked on the “left behind neighbourhoods” agenda and the community wealth fund. After working in parliament Jonathan moved to the HALO Trust to serve as their Policy Manager. There he worked on UK conflict policy and spent time working in places like Iraq with teams clearing unexploded ordnance.
Jonathan is originally from North Yorkshire and attended the University of Hull. He now lives in Chilson with his wife Betsy and their Jack Russel Lola. Both Jonathan and Betsy are members of the St Marys Congregation. Jonathan supports several charities and organisations and recently spent time in Slovakia helping Ukrainian refugees crossing the border.
So many people in our community feel the weight of debt, and we are passionate about helping to release anyone we can from a life sentence of debt and poverty.
