Parenting can feel like both a joy and a challenge—especially as children grow and begin to stretch their wings. Whatever shape your family takes, and wherever you find yourself on the parenting journey, we all share moments when life feels tough, and our parenting doesn’t look quite how we’d hoped. This course offers a helicopter view of parenting through the teenage years (and you cannot start preparing early enough, so we encourage parents of any age to join). The morning will be led by Emma and James Kennedy—who have four children who are now “out the other side of teenage.” Together, we’ll look at how to lay strong foundations, understand what’s really going on in our teens’ minds and hearts, and explore practical ways to stay connected, calm, and Christ-centred. Our aim is to encourage one another, offer real tools for the road, and point you toward further support where it’s needed—keeping Jesus at the heart of it all.
Saturday June 13th, at The Branch, 16 Market Square, Chipping Norton, OX7 5NA
9.30am breakfast, 9.45 start
1.30pm course will finish (with plenty of breaks and time to chat in couples)

2pm closeWe warmly welcome families in all shapes and forms. If you’re parenting as a couple, it would be helpful to come together. Single parents and caregivers are also very welcome. Please sign up below.

Family Camp – 19th-21st June 2026. Cranham Scout Centre, Stroud GL4 8HP.
Family Camp is a time of fun and fellowship for Church Family. Everyone is welcome if you are happy to rough it for the night under canvas! Bring your own tent or shout and we will find one! If you have ever wondered about New Wine, Family Camp is a good place to test out how camping feels! It is fully catered. We will worship around the campfire, make dens, craft, read the bible and sit and relax in deck chairs! You are welcome to do everything or just relax.
The site is woodland and by a stream. It’s beautiful and exclusively ours. It is basic: there is a toilet block, but no electric so you will need to pack your torch! Email Sally for more information. If money or camping gear might prevent you from coming please also let Sally know.
